Ladson Road Audit

In April 2025, Charleston Moves staff joined the South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) and their consultants, as well as USDOT, the Berkeley-Charleston-Dorchester Council of Governments (BCDCOG), Charleston County, the City of North Charleston, Dorchester County and the Town of Summerville, for a Road Safety Audit of Ladson Road from Wallace Ackerman Drive to Highway 78. 

The corridor hosted 1,324 total collisions from 2021-2023: vehicular crashes (1,319), pedestrian crashes (4), bicycle crashes (1). It does have bike lanes and sidewalks.
