2014 Events Calendar
The purpose for all these events is to:
1. Broaden our awareness & engagement base
2. Give folks choices by holding different events
3. Demonstrate the depth of our support
4. High focus on opening up new bike/pedestrian path on Ashley River Bridge
5. Make participation fun & easy
April 4 – Bridge Run Expo. Come visit the Charleston Moves booth to sign-up for a membership and get some free swag.
April 6 – After the Bridge Run Ride. Details to come.
April 9-13 – Dig South. Details to come.
April 15 – Celebrating Earth Day with MUSC. We’ll be celebrating Earth Day with MUSC from 11:00am until 2:00pm. Stop by our booth to say hello!
April 26 – Celebrating Earth Day with Charleston County. Details to come.
May is National Bike Month!
May 7 – Bike to School day. The day has been set – and we are coordinating with the Safe Rides to School program. Details to come.
May 12-16 – National Bike Week!
May 16 - Bike to Work day. Start gearing up for your ride today. Details to come. Whether you live West of the Ashley or East of the Cooper, this is a great way to connect with fellow cyclists and like-minded commuters.
May 21 – Ride of Silence, 7:00pm. Ride on the Peninsula to honor cyclists who have died on the road. Meet at 6:30pm at Hampton Park. The police-escorted ride begins promptly at 7:00pm. Refreshments post ride at Granville’s at the corner of Rutledge and Grove.
July 25 – RidEdwin. Details to come.
September 21 – Green Fair, James Island County Park
September 25 – CLIPS of Faith. Mark your calendars now – the date has been set! Details to come.
