7am: Ride #1 Earth Fare/South Windermere Shopping Center, West Ashley<br />
7am: Ride #2 Waterfront Park, Mount Pleasant<br />
7:30 Riders depart from staging point to work, or to MUSC<br />
Central Destination Clyburne Plaza, atop Johnathan Lucas St., MUSC</p>
<p><strong>Reception for Adventure Cycling Touring Group – Sunday, May 12<br />
</strong><em>Co-hosted by Coastal Cyclists, Charleston Moves, and Adventure Cycling</em></p>
<p>Adventure Cycling Association starting a guided ride from Charleston, headed south to St. Augustine, Florida. We’re hosting a send-off reception for the group on Sunday, May 12.</p>
<p>Adventure Cycling Executive Director Jim Sayer will give a brief presentation on the tour, and on Adventure Cycling. Enjoy refreshments, meet kindred cycling spirits, and hear the latest in bike travel and cycling in North America — including Adventure Cycling’s work on Bicycle Route 66, the new Idaho Hot Springs Mountain Bike Route, the U.S. Bicycle Route System, and national advocacy.</p>
<p>Charleston Moves Director Tom Bradford will provide an update on the progress of the Battery2Beach Route, and Coastal Cyclists President Ben Gruber on local riding opportunities.</p>
<p>When: Sunday, May 12 from 6:30-8:30 pm<br />
Where: Granville’s, 730 Rutledge Ave. (near Hampton Park), Charleston, SC<br />

<p><strong>Ride of Silence – Wednesday, May 15<br />
</strong><em>Annual Charleston Version of Global Remembrance of Cyclists killed or injured</em></p>
<p>6:30pm: Participants gather in parking lot at north end of Hampton Park.<br />
Following brief remarks at 7pm, participants, on bikes, depart with Charleston Police motorcycle escort.</p>
<p>ROUTE:</p>
<ul>
<li>Exit Hampton Park eastbound on Cleveland to King (R),</li>
<li>South on King all the way to Murray Blvd. (R)</li>
<li>North on Murray Blvd. Ashley (R)</li>
<li>North on Ashley to Broad (L)</li>
<li>West on Broad to Lockwood</li>
<li>Stay straight onto to Halsey Blvd. (past the Edwin Gardner ghost Bike),</li>
<li>Right onto Montagu</li>
<li>East on Montagu to Ashley (L),</li>
<li>returning directly on Ashley to Hampton Park.</li>
</ul>
